Electrical jobs for the girls

Electrical jobs for the girls

Posted on November 19, 2016 in News

We’ve been working with NICEIC (regulatory body for the electrical industry) to get more women training and working as electricians. Our work and passion to get more women into trades fits very well with NICEIC’s Jobs for the Girls campaign.

After successful taster days at Sheffield College, we recruited 3 keen women – and last year NICIEC funded Shauna Wrigglesworth, Cariad Thomas-Cooke and Geraldine Sobolak all received funding to study electrical installation.

Shauna has now finished and got a job, but thanks to funding from NICEIC, Cariad and Geraldine are now completing their second years.
