Gwenda’s Garage the Musical coming to Sheffield and Southwark
A musical inspired by Gwenda’s Garage, the female-run garage co-founded by WEST trustee Roz Wollen will soon be performed in Sheffield and Southwark through October and November.
The play has been produced by Out of the Archive, in association with Sheffield Theatres and draws on interviews with members and customers of the garage to tell a story about three women in 1980s Sheffield fighting sexism and Section 28.
Gwenda’s Garage the Musical will be on at the Tanya Moiseiwitsch Playhouse, Sheffield from Wednesday 15th October to Saturday 25th October (tickets and info) and Southwark Playhouse from Thursday 30th October to Saturday 29th November 2025 (tickets and info).
To learn more about the true story that the musical is named after, see our page on the real Gwenda’s Garage for information.
